Blessina Kumar CEO

Blessina Kumar is the CEO of the Global Coalition of TB Advocates (GCTA), which is at the forefront of driving a people centered and rights based TB response. With 19 years of experience in TB advocacy at National and Global levels, she has worked to bridge the divide between communities and practitioners through grassroots literacy and high – level policy engagement. Blessina has played a key role in building the capacity of TB communities and advocating for their inclusion in decision making bodies. GCTA’s strong advocacy highlighting the issue of stigma has contributed richly to addressing stigma as a global priority.

Rosalynn Lalawmpuii Senior Program Officer

Rosalynn Lalawmpuii is a dynamic and accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building, particularly in the fields of HIV, HVC, TB, and community development. Currently serving as a Program Officer at the Global Coalition of TB Advocates (GCTA), Rosalynn has played a pivotal role in implementing high- impact programs that enhance treatment adherence, patient retention, and advocacy efforts, especially for people living with HIV (PLHIV). With a background in clinical psychology and expertise in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement, Rosalynn brings a wealth of experience in designing and delivering training, driving program success, and fostering collaborations across sectors.

Atul Shendge Program Officer

Atul Shendge is a public health professional based in New Delhi, India, with over 8 years of experience in the fields of HIV/STI, tuberculosis, harm reduction, and advocacy for marginalized communities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, female sex workers, and drug users. He is currently, the GCTA - Y India National Coordinator. Atul holds a Master of Public Health degree, specializing in health systems and policy, and has contributed to national health program development. Passionate about global health, Atul is focused on creating inclusive, resilient healthcare frameworks for underserved populations, particularly in the context of humanitarian crises and climate change. Atul is also working on several health equity initiatives and research projects aimed at addressing the needs of at-risk youth and people living with HIV. 4. Meera Yadav - TB Advocate & Community Coordinator Meera Yadav is an extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB) survivor and TB activist. She filed a court petition at the Mumbai High Court to increase access to new TB drugs. Despite enduring painful injectables and severe side effects while new drugs like Bedaquiline and Delamanid were under trial, Meera lost one of her lungs. Her dedication to TB patients remains unwavering. Meera now works closely with TB patients, providing treatment and counseling support. She has successfully counseled at least 40-50 patients telephonically, all of whom have completed their treatment and are now living healthy lives.
