CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – Global Coordinator (Part Time)


The Global Coalition of TB Advocates (GCTA) is a coalition of TB affected individuals bringing the lived experience of TB to the global platforms towards a people-centred rights-based response to TB. GCTA endeavours to bridge the gap between civil society organizations and other stakeholders, while ensuring that community is involved in all TB processes. Since its inception in October 2013, the GCTA has contributed significantly to the global and regional TB agenda through its network of activists, achieving a number of significant milestones along the way. GCTA seeks applications from interested and eligible individuals for the post of Global Coordinator.

Scope of Work

  • Coordinate and work with GCTA-Y and together build the Global Coalition to be launched in November 2024
  • To explore ways to synergise with other youth led initiatives across the globe
  • Empower affected youth to advocate for and access stigma-free, rights-based care by building their capacity and seeking collaborative solution to barriers in access to care
  • Coordinate, manage and document meetings with external stakeholders
  • Implementing GCTA project activities as per the work plan
  • Identifying funding opportunities, proposal development

The Consultant shall work closely with the GCTA Secretariat team and report to Program Manager. The work shall be executed under the direct supervision of the GCTA CEO.

Eligibility Criteria

This position is exclusively for people below the age of 30 who are passionate about ending TB and recognising the key role of the affected community.


A post graduate degree in public health, development or a related subject is required. Further academic work in related fields is desirable.

Work Experience:

At least 3 to 4 years of experience engaging in youth-focused public health advocacy, including 1 to 2 years dedicated to Tuberculosis-related initiatives.


Fluency in English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other UN languages would be an asset
